Ingredients

  • 1 cup dry long grain brown rice
  • 2 cups water or 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon oil or 1 tablespoon butter
  • 34 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Combine rice, salt and oil in a 4 quart pressure cooker.
  • Bring water or broth to a boil in seperate pan.
  • Add to rice mixture and stir well.
  • Lock lid in place and bring up to pressure.
  • Time cooking at this point for 18 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let steam in cooker for an addtional 5 minutes.
  • Use quick release method under cold water.
  • Remove lid, fluff rice with fork and enjoy!
