Ingredients

  • 2 12 cups wheat flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
  • 2 cups barley
  • 1 cup coconut (optional)
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (1/2 regular and 1/2 colored or white is nice)
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 3 -4 tablespoons molasses
  • 34 cup vegetable oil
  • 14 cup olive oil
  • 3 extra large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon pomegranate juice
  • 12 cup chopped dates
  • 12 cup cut up fig

Method

  • Mix together:.
  • 2 1/2 cups WHEAT flour.
  • 2 cups sugar.
  • 1 teaspoons baking soda.
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt.
  • 1 tablespoons vanilla sugar.
  • 2 cups BARLEY flakes.
  • 1 cup coconut (optional).
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (1/2 regular and 1/2 colored or white is nice).
  • 1 cup sliced ALMONDS.
  • 1 cup RAISINS.
  • Add:.
  • 3-4 tablespoons molasses.
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil.
  • 1/4 cup OLIVE oil.
  • 3 extra large eggs.
  • 1 Tbsp POMEGRANATE juice.
  • 1/2 cup chopped DATES.
  • 1/2 cup cut up FIGS.
  • Mix well and pour into greased pan or pans.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F. (185 degrees C.) 25-30 minutes or until done.
  • They should be chewy, not hard.
  • Cut in squares.
