Ingredients

  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into small flowerets
  • 10 to 12 strips bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/4 c. red onion, chopped
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. sunflower seeds (optional)

Method

  • Cook bacon as directed.
  • Cut broccoli as directed.
  • Combine the broccoli, bacon, raisins and onion in a large bowl.
  • Blend together the mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar.
  • Pour over broccoli mixture.
  • Stir to coat well.
  • Cover and marinate at least 1 hour. Before serving, add the sunflower seeds if you wish.
  • Serves 6.
