Ingredients

  • 8 qt. fresh tomatoes
  • 1 bunch celery
  • 6 large onions
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1 c. flour

Method

  • Cut up tomatoes, celery and onions.
  • Cook vegetables together until tender.
  • Run through colander.
  • Add sugar and salt.
  • Heat, but not to boiling.
  • Add oleo and flour; blend well and add to soup.
  • Stir until all is dissolved.
  • Put in jars and seal. Pressure 10 minutes at 5 pounds pressure.
  • Or use water bath 15 or 20 minutes.
  • Let cool and remove jars.
  • Will keep well until all used up.
  • Very tasty!
