Ingredients
- 1 can or 1 pt. tomatoes
- 1/2 c. water (more or less)
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/3 c. cooking oil (bacon drippings may be used instead)
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Put cooking oil in skillet.
- Sprinkle flour on top of oil; stir as it browns.
- When brown, pour in tomatoes and water.
- Stir constantly until gravy is thick.
- Delicious with homemade biscuits.
