Ingredients

  • 6 hard-cooked eggs
  • 3 ripe tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. cheese, grated
  • 1/4 c. buttered bread crumbs

Method

  • Cut eggs in desired shapes and arrange around edge of greased baking dish.
  • Peel and slice tomatoes and place in center of baking dish.
  • Make a sauce of butter, flour, salt and milk; add cheese.
  • Stir over low heat until smooth and blended.
  • Pour over tomatoes and eggs.
  • Top with bread crumbs.
  • Bake in 375° oven for 20 minutes.
