Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. butter, softened
  • 2/3 c. smooth peanut butter
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Set aside.
  • In large bowl, combine butter, peanut butter, both sugars and vanilla.
  • Beat until creamy.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  • Stir in 6 ounces (1 cup) chocolate chips.
