Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 3 tablespoons water
- 2 cups sliced almonds, copped and toasted
- 2 8oz milk chocolate bars, melted
Method
- Melt butter in heavy 2 quart saucepan.
- Add sugar, corn syrup and water.
- Cook and stir to hard crack stage.
- Quickly stir in 1 cup of the almonds and spread in an ungreased 9x13 pan.
- Allow to cool completely
- Turn out on waxed paper, spread top with half of the chocolate and half a cup of the almonds.
- Cool completely until chocolate is set
- Flip over into waxed paper and repeat with the rest of the chocolate and almonds.
- Cool until chocolate is hard.
- Break into small pieces.
