Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 cups sliced almonds, copped and toasted
  • 2 8oz milk chocolate bars, melted

Method

  • Melt butter in heavy 2 quart saucepan.
  • Add sugar, corn syrup and water.
  • Cook and stir to hard crack stage.
  • Quickly stir in 1 cup of the almonds and spread in an ungreased 9x13 pan.
  • Allow to cool completely
  • Turn out on waxed paper, spread top with half of the chocolate and half a cup of the almonds.
  • Cool completely until chocolate is set
  • Flip over into waxed paper and repeat with the rest of the chocolate and almonds.
  • Cool until chocolate is hard.
  • Break into small pieces.
