Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 8 oz. Mascarpone cheese
- 3 Tbsp. Marsala wine
- 1.5 pkg. (10.5 oz.) Savoiardi biscuits
- 1 pot strong black coffee
- 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- sliced almonds
Method
- Break the eggs, separating yolks in a bowl and whites in another.
- Whisk the Mascarpone until smooth, using a wood spoon. (This step may not be necessary as American Mascarpone usually comes smooth.)
- Whisk the yolks with the sugar, then add the Mascarpone and fold together until you get a homogenous cream. Fold in the brandy and Marsala wine with the cream.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold them into the cream.
