Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef or turkey
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes (undrained), cut up
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 1/4 oz. pkg. taco seasoning
  • 1 (15.5 oz.) can dark red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (15.5 oz.) can Great Northern beans, drained
  • 1 (15.5 oz.) can butter beans (undrained)

Method

  • In 4-quart saucepan or Dutch oven, brown ground beef with onions and green pepper; drain.
  • Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato soup and taco seasoning mix; blend well.
  • Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans; simmer an additional 15 minutes to blend flavors, stirring occasionally.
  • Makes 7 (1 1/2-cup) servings.
