Ingredients
- 2 cups flour, all-purpose
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup margarine melted
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 3 1/4 cups water hot
Method
- Cake:
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt together.
- Add milk and margarine to dry ingredients.
- Mix until smooth.
- Pour into 9" baking pan.
- Topping:
- Mix sugar, cocoa, and water until sugar and cocoa dissolve.
- Pour over top of cake.
- Bake in 325F (160C).
- for approximately 45 minutes or until done.
