Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
  • 1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3 3/4 c. crushed corn chips
  • 1 c. diced tomatoes
  • 1 c. shredded lettuce

Method

  • Brown meat and onion; drain off fat.
  • Add water and taco seasoning and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • If mixture becomes dry, add more water. Serve 1/3 cup taco meat and 1/4 cup of cheese over 3/4 cup of corn chips.
  • Add diced tomatoes and shredded lettuce.
