Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 lb. ground beef chuck
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp. bottled salsa
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Method

  • Combine onion, salsa, salt, and chili powder.
  • Mix seasonings with ground beef, just until well-blended but not overmixed, and shape into 4 patties, each 3/4-inch thick.
  • Heat 12-inch skillet over high heat until hot.
  • Add patties and cook about 4 minutes per side for medium or until desired doneness.
