- 2 lb. ground beef
- 4 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 green pepper
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cans (15 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 cans red beans
Method
- Brown beef and drain.
- Sprinkle with chili powder, salt and sugar and mix well.
- Add onion, green pepper, tomato sauce, water and bay leaf.
- Cover and simmer 1 hour.
- Mix together oil and flour.
- Add to meat mixture.
- Add beans.
- Simmer until heated, 30 minutes.
