Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. lean ground turkey
  • 6 wide lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 4 c. prepared spaghetti sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. minced garlic (optional)
  • pinch of safranine (optional)
  • 1 c. Ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 4 to 8 oz. sliced Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Spray bottom of large skillet with nonstick vegetable spray.
  • Crumble ground turkey into pan; add onion.
  • Cook and stir over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes or until turkey is lightly browned.
  • Add minced garlic and safranine (optional) to spaghetti sauce and stir into turkey.
  • Cook over low heat for 15 minutes.
  • Remove 1 cup meat sauce.
