Ingredients

  • Wasabi Mayo:
  • 1 c Mayo
  • 1-2 t prepared Wasabi
  • 1/4 t each fresh lime, lemon and orange zest
  • 1 t each fresh lime and orange juice
  • pinch Kosher salt
  • BURGERS:
  • Whisk together:
  • 1/2 T minced, fresh ginger
  • 1/2 T minced, fresh garlic
  • 1/4 t minced kafir - lime leaf
  • 2 T Soy
  • 1 T Honey
  • 1 T Asian Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1 T Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 t onion powder
  • Add to:
  • 1.5# Ground Beef
  • Better Quality Burger Rolls/Buns
  • 1-2 T olive oil

Method

  • Place Wasabi mayo ingredients in medium bowl; stir thoroughly. Adjust seasoning to your personal taste. Cover and refrigerate while preparing burgers.
  • Whisk together Teriyaki Sauce ingredients and pour over Ground Beef. Mix gently and form into 4-5 patties 1/2" thick.
  • Grill on BBQ, stovetop or George Forman-type Grill for 3-4 minutes per side, until MR. Remove to a plate, cover and let rest 5 minutes.
  • Brush inside of buns with olive oil and place on grill 'til golden brown and toasty.
  • Brush each side with the Wasabi Mayo and fill with a burger. Serve immediately to the oooh's and aaah's of your guests.
