Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine, softened
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. 10x sugar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. cooking oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 4 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour

Method

  • Put into large mixing bowl and beat on medium speed.
  • Cream sugar and margarine until light and fluffy.
  • Add oil and vanilla and beat until well mixed.
  • Now, gradually add all dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
  • Beat until well mixed.
  • Chill several hours in refrigerator, then take out and shape into 1-inch rolls.
  • Wrap in wax paper.
  • Now, cut in small pieces and put on ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.
