Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. plus 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 8 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 box round toothpicks
  • 1 pkg. Kraft caramels
  • chopped nuts

Method

  • Use pastry blender to blend ingredients.
  • Blend flour and sugar.
  • Cut in margarine
  • and yolks.
  • Roll into small balls.
  • Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.
  • Place toothpicks in center of each ball right from oven.
  • Let cool.
  • Melt caramels and milk in double boiler.
  • Dip balls into melted caramel 3/4 of the way.
  • Then dip in nuts.
  • Set on wax paper until caramel hardens.
