Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 lb. fresh mushrooms or 1 (6 oz.) can
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
  • 1 c. sour cream

Method

  • Saute onion and garlic in butter over medium heat.
  • Add meat and brown (if you drain off fats, you may need to add a little liquid).
  • Add flour, salt, pepper and mushrooms.
  • Cook 5 minutes. Add soup; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.
  • Stir in sour cream. Heat through.
  • Serve over noodles or rice.
  • Serves 5 to 6.
