Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
  • 2 c. mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip
  • 2 to 3 apples, diced (unpeeled)
  • 1/2 c. Spanish peanuts

Method

  • Drain juice from pineapple and save.
  • Mix pineapple with marshmallows in a small bowl.
  • In a large bowl, mix pineapple juice, flour, sugar, egg and vinegar.
  • Place this mixture in a saucepan, heating it until thick.
  • Place in refrigerator to cool. When cool, mix with Cool Whip.
  • Fold Cool Whip mixture into marshmallow and pineapple mixture.
  • Add apples and peanuts.
