Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning
  • tortilla chips
  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • sour cream
  • taco sauce

Method

  • Prepare meat and taco seasoning as directed on package and set aside.
  • Grease 9 x 9-inch glass dish and completely cover bottom with tortilla chips.
  • Bake at 300° for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, spread meat on top and bake 10 more minutes.
  • Remove, add shredded lettuce and cut up tomatoes.
  • Bake 10 minutes; remove from oven and sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake until cheese melts; serve with sour cream and taco sauce.
