Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/8 tsp. cloves
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 c. almonds, cashews, pecans, walnut halves or combination

Method

  • In 2-quart casserole, combine sugar, water, salt, cinnamon, allspice, cloves and nutmeg.
  • Cook on High for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until sugar is melted.
  • Stir in nuts.
  • Cook on High 4 to 5 minutes or until syrup begins to harden.
  • Immediately pour nut mixture onto buttered cookie sheet.
  • Spread thinly.
  • Cool.
  • Break into small pieces.
