Ingredients
- 1 head red cabbage, shredded
- 1/4 lb. butter or margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 large apple, cut up
- 1/2 (10 oz.) jar currant jelly
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- salt
- pepper
Method
- Put shredded cabbage in boiling water for 15 minutes.
- Drain. Place in pan; add all other ingredients.
- Simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- If too watery, remove lid.
