Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops (bone in)
  • 2 -3 apples
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sauerkraut
  • 1 cup light brown sugar

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Squueze out as much juice as possible from sauerkraut.
  • Slice apples (with peel) into 1/4 inch slices.
  • Place 6 aluminum foil squares on the counter and place a pork chop in each one.
  • Top with sauerkraut, brown sugar, and finally the apples.
  • Seal foil squares completely.
  • Place packets in a 9X13 pan and add just a little water to the bottom of pan.
  • Bake for at least an hour but the longer the better and more tender.
