Ingredients
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 3/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 c. milk (warm)
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 eggs
- 7 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
Method
- Dissolve yeast, 1 tablespoon sugar and lukewarm water together. Mix together milk and butter.
- Put 5 cups of flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl, making a well in center.
- Mix together egg, milk, butter and dissolved yeast.
- Pour in center of flour mix with wooden spoon until you can't mix.
- Pour out on remaining flour, mixing and kneading until smooth.
- Put into greased bowl.
- When double in size, work down.
- Let rise again.
- Now it can be made into rolls, coffee cake, or cinnamon rolls.
- Bake rolls at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
