Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 3/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 c. milk (warm)
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 7 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar

Method

  • Dissolve yeast, 1 tablespoon sugar and lukewarm water together. Mix together milk and butter.
  • Put 5 cups of flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl, making a well in center.
  • Mix together egg, milk, butter and dissolved yeast.
  • Pour in center of flour mix with wooden spoon until you can't mix.
  • Pour out on remaining flour, mixing and kneading until smooth.
  • Put into greased bowl.
  • When double in size, work down.
  • Let rise again.
  • Now it can be made into rolls, coffee cake, or cinnamon rolls.
  • Bake rolls at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
