Ingredients

  • 1 medium size head red cabbage (about 1 1/2 lb.), cored and sliced thin
  • 1 large tart apple, peeled, cored and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 small sweet green pepper, cored, seeded and sliced lengthwise into strips about 1/4-inch wide
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped fine
  • 1/2 c. red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves

Method

  • In a
  • large heatproof bowl, combine the cabbage, apple, green pepper and onion and toss well to mix; set aside.
