Ingredients
- 4 pork chops (1-inch thick)
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. bacon fat
- 1 (3 or 4 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 medium green pepper, cut in strips
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. molasses or brown sauce
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
Method
- Sprinkle pork chops with flour combined with 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- Brown in fat in skillet.
- Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid.
- Add enough water to liquid to make 1 cup.
- Add to pork chops with green pepper and onion.
- Sprinkle with remaining salt. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over chops.
- Cook over low heat for 45 minutes.
