Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. tomato sauce
  • 1 c. crushed cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. water

Method

  • Mix ground chuck and onion with 1/2 cup tomato sauce, crushed cracker crumbs, pepper and salt.
  • Place meat mixture in 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Combine 1/2 cup tomato sauce, vinegar, mustard, brown sugar and water together.
  • Spread over meat.
  • Bake in 350° oven for 1 1/2 hours, basting frequently.
