Ingredients
- 1 bunch carrots
- 3 strips bacon
- 1 small onion
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- water
Method
- Peel and slice thin carrot.
- Cook until tender (crisp).
- Cut bacon into bits.
- Saute and remove from pan.
- Saute diced onion in bacon drippings and then mix sugar, flour (cornstarch), vinegar and a little water.
- Stir into pan with onions.
- Mix and thicken. Pour over drained carrots and add bacon bit.
- Mix and serve warm.
