Ingredients
- 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) chicken, cut into serving pieces
- 1 pkg. Lipton tomato and onion soup mix
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple (in natural juices), undrained
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Mix in a medium size saucepan all ingredients except chicken. Bring to a boil and simmer about 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until sauce is slightly thickened. In a 3-quart oblong baking dish, arrange chicken. Bake 30 minutes. Pour sauce over chicken.
- Bake an additional 30 minutes, basting occasionally, until chicken is tender.
