Ingredients

  • 4 tsp. butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 2 tsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Lightly butter a cookie sheet or jellyroll pan.
  • Cream butter, then gradually beat in the sugar until well blended.
  • Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.
  • Mix together flour, baking powder and salt; mix into first mixture. Spread dough onto the cookie sheet as thin as possible, just enough to cover pan.
  • Sprinkle with nuts and press them into dough gently.
  • Mark with sharp knife into rectangle (cookie size), bake about 12 minutes.
