Ingredients
- 1 chicken or chicken pieces
- 3 qt. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 pkg. medium size flour tortillas
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. water
Method
- Cook chicken in 6-quart pan with 3 quarts water, salt, pepper and garlic powder until done.
- Remove chicken from broth and set aside.
- Cut tortillas in half, then cut in 1-inch strips.
- Drop into boiling broth and stir.
- Mix 3 tablespoons flour with 1/2 cup water and add to dumplings to thicken.
- Remove chicken from bones and add to dumplings.
- Season to taste.
