Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain soft breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 13 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 18 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 18 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 lb ground ham
  • 1 lb pork sausage
  • 12 cup brown sugar
  • 14 cup water
  • 14 cup cider vinegar
  • 18 teaspoon pepper

Method

  • combine first ten ingriedients in a large bowl.
  • add ham and pork and mix well.
  • shape into a loaf and put in a baking pan.
  • bake at 350 for one hour.
  • in a saucepan combine water, sugar, vinegar and pepper and bring to a boil.
  • drain any drippings off ham loaf.
  • pour sauce over loaf.
  • continue baking for 20 more minutes, basting often with sauce.
