Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb. chicken pieces
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. mixed herbs
  • 1 c. white wine
  • 1 Tbsp. arrowroot
  • 1/4 c. water

Method

  • Melt butter in deep frying pan.
  • Saute mushrooms until golden brown.
  • Remove and reserve mushrooms.
  • Brown chicken in butter. Sprinkle with salt while browning.
  • Crush mixed herbs over chicken.
  • Add wine.
  • Cover and simmer until tender (about 25 minutes).
  • Stir arrowroot into water.
  • Blend into chicken liquid. Add mushrooms and stir until thickens and boils.
  • Serve over rice or noodles.
