Ingredients
- 1 (20 oz.) can chickpeas, drained
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 c. tahini (sesame seed paste)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. paprika (optional)
Method
- Combine drained chickpeas, water, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, salt and paprika.
- Beat in electric mixer bowl or food processor until smooth.
- Serve with pita bread.
- Yield: 2 cups.
