Ingredients

  • 1 thick steak
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 can tomatoes or 2 c. fresh tomatoes, (optional)
  • 3 or 4 sliced potatoes (optional)
  • 2 cans mushroom soup
  • 1 soup can water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Vegetables may be
  • sliced
  • and
  • chopped a day ahead and placed in plastic bag and refrigerated.
  • Cut steak in serving size pieces;
  • season
  • with
  • salt
  • and pepper.
  • Place in large casserole dish,
  • sprayed
  • with
  • Pam.
  • Add vegetables and pour soup
  • and water over all.
  • Cover tightly with foil and bake in very slow oven, 2 1/2 to 3 hours while you go to church.
