Ingredients

  • 1 c. apple juice
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 6 c. tart apples, sliced (this equals about 7 medium apples)
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine

Method

  • Make your own favorite 9-inch pie crust.
  • Mix apple juice, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon.
  • Stir in apples.
  • Put into pastry lined pie plate.
  • Dot with margarine and cover with top crust. Flute edges.
  • You can cover pie edges with foil to keep from getting too brown.
  • Bake at 425° for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake 15 minutes.
