Ingredients
- 1 c. flour (unbleached or whole wheat)
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. chopped prunes
- 1/2 c. chopped dates
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Method
- Simmer water, prunes, dates and raisins four minutes.
- Beat in eggs, vanilla and walnuts.
- Add dry ingredients until well blended.
- Bake in a 9 x 9-inch pan at 350° for 30 minutes.
- Makes 16 squares.
