Ingredients

  • 4 c. sliced, peeled apples (sweet varieties are best)
  • 1/2 c. frozen apple juice concentrate, undiluted
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Method

  • Roll pastry
  • very

  • an 8-inch plate.
  • Set aside. Mix

  • juice concentrate, cornstarch and spice and stir until apples are well coated. Add lemon juice, if desired, to keep

  • lighter colored. Pour into the pastry lined pie pan
  • and top with the second crust or pastry strips.
  • Seal the edges

  • in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
