Ingredients

  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 c. (8 oz.) margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Cream sugars and margarine.
  • Add beaten eggs, oil and vanilla; beat well.
  • Add dry ingredients; mix.
  • Will be a soft dough.
  • Chill 1 hour in refrigerator.
  • Using a teaspoon drop onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • One dozen to a sheet.
  • Press cookie down with a wet glass dipped in sugar.
  • Press lightly and evenly.
  • Bake at 375° for 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
  • Makes 4 dozen cookies.
