Ingredients
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. oil
- 1 c. (8 oz.) margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 5 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cream sugars and margarine.
- Add beaten eggs, oil and vanilla; beat well.
- Add dry ingredients; mix.
- Will be a soft dough.
- Chill 1 hour in refrigerator.
- Using a teaspoon drop onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- One dozen to a sheet.
- Press cookie down with a wet glass dipped in sugar.
- Press lightly and evenly.
- Bake at 375° for 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
- Makes 4 dozen cookies.
