Ingredients
- 3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. milk
Method
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
- Cream butter. Add sugar gradually.
- Cream until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Alternately add flour mixture and milk, beating until blended after each addition.
- Wrap dough in foil or plastic wrap and chill several hours or overnight.
