Ingredients

  • 4 c. ketchup
  • 4 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3 tsp. black pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. chili powder
  • few dashes hot pepper sauce
  • 1 c. finely chopped onion
  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
  • 1 green pepper (medium size), finely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice concentrate (optional)

Method

  • Steam onions, celery and green pepper until tender or microwave on High for 3 minutes or until tender.
  • Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Serve over chicken, ribs, pork chops, smoked sausage, etc.
