Ingredients
- 4 green peppers
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. cooked rice
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
Method
- Cut peppers in half lengthwise.
- Remove seeds and wash. Combine beef, cooked rice, onion, salt, pepper and 1/2 can tomato sauce.
- Pile mixture into peppers and place in large baking dish. Pour tomato sauce over each pepper.
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake in moderate (350°) oven for 1 1/4 hours, basting occasionally.
