- 6 medium green peppers, tops cut off and seeds and membrane removed
- salt
- 1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1 lb. can tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper
- 1/2 c. uncooked long grain rice
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 4 oz. sharp American cheese, shredded
Method
- Boil prepared peppers in salted water about 5 minutes; drain. (For crisp peppers, omit the precooking.)
- Sprinkle inside of pepper cups with salt.
