Ingredients

  • 6 large green peppers
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 c. cooked rice
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 small can mushrooms, drained
  • 3/4 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • Remove seeds and wash peppers.
  • Cook peppers 5 minutes; drain. Cook hamburger, onion and mushrooms.
  • Drain.
  • Stir in salt, garlic salt, rice and tomato sauce; heat thoroughly.
  • Stuff peppers; pour remaining sauce over peppers.
  • Cover; cook in a 350° oven for 45 minutes.
  • Uncover; cook 15 minutes longer.
  • Sprinkle with cheese and serve.
