Ingredients

  • 96 slices Texas toast slices, 1 inch thick
  • 1-1/2 qt. Honey-Pecan Cream Cheese Spread
  • 8 doz. eggs
  • 1-1/2 gal. milk
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar

Method

  • Use sharp knife to make long horizontal cut in one of the long sides of each toast slice to make pocket, being careful to not cut through to opposite side of toast slice.
  • Fill each pocket with 1 Tbsp.
  • of the Honey-Pecan Cream Cheese Spread.
  • Beat eggs, milk and cinnamon sugar with wire whisk in shallow dish until well blended.
  • Dip toast slices, one at a time, in egg mixture, turning to evenly moisten both sides.
  • Place toast slices on hot griddle; cook 2 min.
  • on each side or until golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve with maple-flavored or pancake syrup, if desired.
