Ingredients
- 2 unbaked pie shells (9-inch)
- 1/2 c. bacon bits
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 2 c. half and half
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onions
- 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, grated
- 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method
- Sprinkle bacon bits on bottom of each pie shell. Mix together remaining bacon bits with the rest of the ingredients.
- Pour half of this mixture into each pie shell.
- Bake in a 350° oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and knife inserted comes out clean.
- Serves 12.
