Ingredients
- 1 large head cabbage
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. partially cooked rice
- 1 egg
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 can water
- salt and pepper
- bacon strips (optional)
Method
- Wilt cabbage leaves in boiling water. Cool.
- Mix all ingredients except soup and water.
- Fill leaves.
- Roll and secure with toothpicks, if necessary.
- Place in roasting pan.
- Mix soup and water; pour over cabbage rolls.
- Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
