- 1 c. miniature marshmallows
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored jello
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 3 eggs
- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced strawberries
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Generously grease bottom only of 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan.
- Thoroughly combine thawed strawberries and syrup with dry gelatin and set aside.
- In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
- Blend at low speed until moistened.
- Beat 3 minutes at medium.
- Pour batter evenly over marshmallows and spoon strawberry mixture over batter.
- Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes or until golden.
