Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 pkg. strawberry jello
- 1 tsp. red food coloring
- 1 qt. fresh or frozen strawberries
Method
- Cook water, sugar and cornstarch until thickened.
- Add jello and food coloring. Let mixture set until cold. Fold in sliced strawberries.
- If berries are frozen, drain and use instead of water. If there isn't 2 1/2 cups of juice, use what juice you have and add the rest water.
- Pour into baked pie shells.
- Top with whipped cream.
- Makes 2 pies.
